RieLes Group is seeking 2 experienced Family Nurse Practitioners (FNP or FNP-C) / Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN/APN) who are interested in working in the Pinon, AZ area. The Pinon Health Center is a full-service outpatient clinic serving approximately 11,000 patients—primarily Navajo individuals and families, many of whom are traditional Navajo speakers. The health center offers primary care, women’s health, dental, optometry, native medicine, mental health services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and more.
It operates within the Chinle Service Unit (CSU) on the Navajo Nation and is part of the mission of the Indian Health Service to elevate the physical, mental, social, and spiritual health of American Indians and Alaska Natives.

Typically Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with 1-hour lunch

Position Overview
The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP or FNP-C) / Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN/APN) shall provide uninterrupted outpatient General Medicine / Family Nurse Practice services duties including primary care, walk-in urgent care, preventive services, and chronic disease management for patients from newborn through end-of-life, unless the scope is limited by specialization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive primary and urgent care in accordance with CSU Medical Staff Bylaws, IHS policy, Joint Commission standards, and professional nursing practice standards
• Interview, examine, diagnose, and manage patients across the full age spectrum
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; provide treatment or make referrals for specialized care
• Provide emergency and urgent care, including evaluation, stabilization, and transfer when needed
• Serve as part of the emergency response/code team (BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred)
• Conduct outpatient clinics including follow-up, medication review, health maintenance, and patient counseling
• Collaborate with CHRs, social workers, health educators, public health nurses, and other allied health staff
• Ensure timely and complete documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
• Provide continuity of care and coordinate referrals to contracted or federal facilities
• Participate in medical staff meetings as required

Qualifications:

• Current, unrestricted FNP/FNP-C, APN, or APRN license in a U.S. state
• Active national certification (AANP, ANCC, or equivalent)
• Board-certified or Board-eligible (per PWS definitions for APNs/APRNs)
• Current BLS certification (ACLS and PALS highly recommended)
• Experience providing primary and/or urgent care across diverse populations

Preferred:

• Experience in rural or tribal health systems
• Familiarity with The Joint Commission standards, CMS guidelines, HIPAA, and IHS policies
• Comfort delivers culturally sensitive care to Navajo and Native American communities
