Description
RieLes Group is seeking a highly experienced Part-Time Occupational Medicine Physician or Nurse Practitioner with demonstrated leadership experience as a Medical Director, Occupational Health Director, Program Manager, or Medical Program Administrator to support OSHA's Office of Occupational Medicine and Nursing (OOMN)
Position Overview
This role is ideal for physicians who can provide both clinical occupational medicine expertise and program leadership/management support, allowing them to fulfill physician responsibilities while contributing to contract and program oversight functions. The contractor will support OSHA's Medical Examination Program (OMEP), review medical surveillance examinations, determine fitness-for-duty status for OSHA personnel, and provide consultation on enforcement-related occupational health matters

Part-Time Occupational Medicine Physician or Nurse Practitioner
Location: Remote
Schedule: Part-Time (minimum 8 hours/week; flexible based on workload)
Shift: Monday–Friday, flexible between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM ET
Estimated Hours: 1,040 annually
Responsibilities:
Review employee medical examinations and surveillance records
Determine fitness-for-duty status
Coordinate with OMEP staff on medical reviews
Draft medical documentation and recommendations
Update OSHA medical program records
Requirements (Physician):
MD or DO with active U.S. license.
Board Certified in Occupational & Environmental Medicine or related Preventive Medicine specialty
Experience conducting fitness-for-duty evaluations
Federal Occupational Health Physicians
Candidates comfortable working on Eastern Time business hours
Requirements (Nurse Practitioner):
Active NP license
Experience conducting medical surveillance, certification, or fitness-for-duty examinations
Strong clinical assessment skills
Candidates comfortable working on Eastern Time business hours
Preferred:
Occupational health clinic experience
Federal employee health program experience
Ideal Candidate:
An experienced Occupational Medicine Physician with Medical Director, Occupational Health Director, or Program Manager experience who can perform both the Full-Time Physician role and the Contract/Project Manager responsibilities, providing clinical leadership and contract oversight under a single resource
