Description
The Armed Forces Retirement Home (AFRH) in Washington, DC needs Pharmacy Services for the residents of the AFRH. The Resident population includes Long Term Care, Memory Support, Assisted Living, Independent Living Plus, and Independent Living. The Pharmacist shall be expected to meet the needs of the residents by providing accurate dispensing of medications. The current average age for population is 85. The average medication per individual is sixteen.
Duties:
- Pharmacists collaborate with facility staff to establish, evaluate, and coordinate pharmaceutical services for all residents.
- Provides consultation on all aspects of the provision of pharmacy services in the facility.
- Establishes a system of records of receipt and disposition of all controlled drugs in sufficient detail to enable an accurate reconciliation; and
- Determines that drug records are in order and that an account of all controlled drugs is maintained and periodically reconciled.
- Conduct a substantive review of the drug regimen for each residents and identify and report any irregularities
Qualifications:
- Pharmacist(s) licensed in the State of contract performance (Washington, DC).
- Minimum of an RPI-I or Doctorate RPI-I degree from a nationally recognized college or university covering such degree in Pharmacy.
- Experience working with the geriatric community.
- Contractor personnel performing services at AFRH under this contract shall be free of communicable disease.
- All Contractor employees are required to undergo background security investigations to ensure suitability for employment with a federal entity
