Shift: Primarily day shift (business hours), may vary depending on student and center requirements
Work Setting: On-site at the Hawaii Job Corps Center
Contract Period: May 1, 2026 – April 30, 2027

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is seeking a licensed Center Mental Health Consultant (CMHC) to provide mental health services to students at the Hawaii Job Corps Center. This role focuses on prevention, early identification, assessment, and short-term treatment of mental health concerns impacting student success and employability.

Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Services
- Conduct mental health assessments for applicants and enrolled students
- Provide short-term counseling focused on employability and behavioral stability
- Deliver crisis intervention and coordinate emergency care when needed
- Develop and implement case management plans
Consultation & Collaboration
Work closely with:
- Health & Wellness Director
- Counseling staff
- Center physician and nursing team
- Participate in case conferences and interdisciplinary planning
Program Support
- Lead mental health education sessions for students
- Provide staff training on adolescent development and mental health
- Support center-wide wellness initiatives
Referral & Community Coordination
- Coordinate referrals to off-site mental health providers
- Build partnerships with community resources and agencies
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted license in the State of Hawaii
- Clinical/Counseling Psychologist
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with adolescents or young adults
- Schools or colleges
- Behavioral health clinics
- Military or institutional environments
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to pass a background investigation
- Proof of professional liability insurance
- Ability to work independently as a contractor
- Must provide coverage or a qualified replacement during absences
